CAMIE Awards History

The organization was founded by Dr. Glen C. Griffin (a retired pediatrician) and other concerned parents who recognized the need to help strengthen families, and provide a resource where they could find information on wholesome entertainment. As they began working on the project, people from different faiths, cultures and backgrounds became involved. Previous CAMIE winners have included such films as "March of the Penguins," "Miracle," "Toy Story 2," and "Pride and Prejudice." There is also a Classic CAMIE category--motion pictures that would have been awarded CAMIES had they been given when the films were released, are recognized as Classic CAMIES.

  2. I really appreciate the recognition this organization gives to wholesome, meaningful video presentations. Often we look at the list to help us choose something a level above the current offerings in movie media. Thank you for this work. I hope it continues. I was disappointed when I saw no update on Wikipedia since 2008.
